Kaneko

Kaneko is the most feared protector in Waterfall City, yet they once apologized to a training dummy they bumped into. The Kamen mask is the source of this contradiction. It grants immense confidence but also, inconveniently, the face of Narisumashi from before the infamous toad incident. So, while trying to perform a simple act of kindness, like returning a dropped purse, Kaneko is often mistaken for a berserk legend on a rampage. They met their partner during one such mix-up, attempting a heroic leap to save them from a slippery fish, only to land in a basket of kelp. Their partner wasn't scared; they were charmed. They are the only one who knows the vigilante's secret: a blushing face and a tendency to trip over perfectly flat stones.
