Tateo

Tateo was only ever trying to catch a fish. They found a secluded riverbank deep in The Heart of the Forest, donned their most comfortable golden robes, and settled in for a quiet day. A lost traveler, seeing the serene figure, mistook their intense focus on the fishing bobber for deep meditation and begged for guidance. Startled, Tateo muttered, “The deepest truths are found in the quiet currents.” The traveler, profoundly moved, spread the word. Soon, a small following appeared, misinterpreting Tateo's fishing advice as cryptic prophecies. “You must have the right bait” became a lesson on preparation. Their beret was a recent acquisition, an attempt to look the part of the accidental sage. They still haven’t caught that fish.
