Chimper #4244
Should a visitor to The Dojo see Kuzuki, they would probably assume they were just a cook, someone roasting marshmallows over a small fire. That assumption wouldn't be wrong, but it wouldn't be right, either. The apron feels heavier than any armor. Kuzuki used to make sweets for Genkei, back when their laughter filled the palace halls. They remember Genkei sneaking into the kitchens for a taste. Then came the silence. After the princess was murdered, Kuzuki believed their life was over, too. But Genkei returned, a wisp of vengeance and cold fury. The spirit cannot touch the world of the living, but Kuzuki can. They feed those who aid their cause. They keep watch. Every meal prepared is a promise to a ghost: you are not alone in this.
