Chimper #4293
The scent of damp stone and fried fish was the first thing Gintarou registered upon their untimely return to the living. The second was that their sacred Kabuki facepaint was now smudging in the river spray of Waterfall City. In their time, a traineeโs life was one of discipline and honorable duels. Their death, regrettably, involved slipping on a discarded banana peel. Unlike the vengeful spirit of the princess Genkei, whose return was a haunting tragedy, Gintarouโs re-entry was caused by a clerical error at a minor resurrection shrine. They still carry their adventure sword and maintain their severe bowlcut with grim determination, but their ancient code of honor is ill-suited for a city of haggling merchants and frog fishermen. They once challenged a boat captain to a duel for questioning their parking spot.
