Chimper #5262
The bamboo vendors of The Great Panda City still talk about the morning the cherry blossoms flew sideways. It wasn’t a rogue wind spirit, but the spectacular failure of Shiika’s latest invention: the ‘Soul-Signature Seeker,’ a clattering contraption of gears and polished river stones. They built it to aid in their personal quest to follow the path of Sourukipa, convinced that tracking an ancient sword could be greatly improved with a bit of mechanical ingenuity. Instead, the machine went haywire, chasing a flock of startled birds through the streets before finally shorting out in a fountain. Despite the chaos, no one could stay mad. Through their ninja mask, Shiika’s eyes always gleam with pure, unadulterated joy, even as they use their ancient sabre to pry a smoking gear out of a fish statue.
