Chimper #5505
At The Dojo, they say the harshest winter winds teach the truest lessons of endurance. Meikai, however, always claimed the best lessons were found at the bottom of a hot ramen bowl. The elders tell of a time a sorrow-spirit descended upon the lake, freezing the hearts of any warrior who drew a blade against it. The greatest fighters tried and failed, their resolve turning to ice. Then came Meikai, not with a weapon, but with a steaming bowl and a gleeful grin. They offered it to the spirit, sharing their meal without a word of challenge. The warmth of the broth and the simple, honest joy radiating from Meikai did what no blade could: it melted the spirit's frozen grief, and it departed in peace. The white bandana they wear is a mark of that strange victory.
