Chimper #716
In Waterfall City, they say even a chipped oar can steer a boat straight if the current is kind. Kumeko clung to this saying, certain their undeath was just a minor setback. Inspired by tales of Andeddoโs redeemed exile, Kumeko embarked on their own grand quest: to become the most helpful citizen the city had ever seen. Their first attempt at assisting the fishers ended when their bloodthirsty grin, a permanent fixture, sent an entire school of prized carp leaping out of the water in terror. Their second, guarding the plaza, resulted in a family of frogs taking up residence in their mouth. These days, they have found a niche. The fishers pay them in spare parts to stand motionless on the docks, scaring away predatory birds. It's not quite the glorious reclamation of honor they envisioned, but the frogs seem to like them.
