Chimper #1405
Uko sells hand-carved bamboo chopsticks in The Great Panda City, yet travelers seek them out as Uko the Wind-Scarred. The title comes not from a legendary battle against a sky spirit, but from a single, chaotic afternoon. A sudden gale, the kind that rips down the mountain without warning, tore their market stall apart. A heavy, ceramic wind-dragon ornament broke from its mooring and clipped them just above the eye. When a young Panda Council warden rushed over to ask what happened, Uko, annoyed and picking through the wreckage, just grunted, "Wind." The story spiraled. The gale became a rogue tempest; the ornament became a lesser demon. The small cut became a legendary scar. Uko has given up correcting anyone. The mystique is surprisingly good for business.
