Chimper #758
Always, just after dawn, Shaorin slips on their recon headset, ostensibly to monitor the windy passes of The Great Panda City for threats. In truth, they’re tuning into the bakery two streets over to see if the sweet bean buns are fresh for Shinsa. Their official reports to the Panda Council are masterpieces of accidental poetry, detailing the “aggressive migration of particularly grumpy clouds” or the “suspiciously quiet chirping of sparrows.” The Council remains baffled but, oddly, better informed on morale. It was Shinsa who helped them realize that listening for a lover’s favorite song could reveal more about the city’s heart than any coded transmission. Their carved cane isn't for walking; it's for tapping out new rhythms they think Shinsa might like.
