Chimper #759
Zenjirou ducked as a colossal frog’s tongue flattened the fish stall where they’d been standing moments before. "The text said they were timid!" Zenjirou yelled, pushing their spectacles back up their nose. Their partner, a hulking chimp who believed more in fists than in books, just grunted. They had been an inseparable, if mismatched, duo ever since getting swept up in a chaotic sparring match with the warrior Hiro in the main plaza of Waterfall City. Zenjirou had been there to study technique, their partner to deliver a crate. They survived the frenzy back-to-back, instinct and intellect in an unplanned dance. Since then, their adventures have followed the same pattern: Zenjirou finds the path, and their partner clears it.
