Fukiho

The boatwrights of Waterfall City will tell you Fukiho’s true name rests at the bottom of the falls, lost along with the face they used to wear. They whisper that Fukiho was once a captain of the guard, betrayed so completely their very existence became a liability. To survive, they mastered the art of Henso, becoming a ghost in the city's perpetual spray. They lost their past entirely. But one day, they found a group of travelers stranded on the lower rocks, their boat smashed to pieces. Fukiho guided them to safety using a single, salvaged lantern. That light became their new face. It is a strange choice for a shadow, a beacon that doesn't expose them, but instead draws the lost out of the darkness.
