Chimper #5508
The villagers on the highest isles will tell you Mamichi the Forager doesn't gather roots or berries. They claim Mamichi collects echoes. The story comes from a single night, when a sudden squall swept across the plains of glowing grass, sending everyone scrambling for the safety of their treetop homes. But Mamichi stood firm, their lanterns held high against the wind. A quiet hum, a voice beneath the thunder that only they could perceive, pulled them deeper into the fields. They walked until they found a cluster of bell-shaped flowers, each pulsing with a soft, internal light. While others would have picked the bloom, Mamichi simply reached out and collected the resonance clinging to itโthe captured dream of a passing dragon. Their lanterns have burned with that impossible light ever since.
